Baby Love - Nine Months

My Sweet Charlotte –

You are NINE months old!!

You love to giggle and laugh.  But, you will give people the most serious face you can muster if you just aren’t sure about them.  You are on the move and refuse to be contained!

We celebrated Easter – a couple of times.

And you got two teeth!

What are your stats?

You weigh 17lbs fully dressed and you are about 29” long.  {Edited:  We went to see Dr. Chris for your well child check up.  You officially weigh 16lbs 13oz (15th%tile) and are 28" long (65th%tile).  You are too wiggly for Momma to get an accurate length measurement.}

What does the Doctor say?

We had to go to the walk-in clinic for the very first time.  Your eyes looked terrible.  Momma hoped it was just allergies, but Dr. Samms said it was definitely double pink eye.  And much to Momma’s surprise, you had double ear infections also!  We go see Dr. Chris on Thursday.   {Edited:  Dr. Chris said you are doing great at your gross and fine motor skills.  He says you aren't very verbal yet, but with Delaney who can even get a word in?!  He suspects you will be chattering in no time.  You still had bilateral ear infections, so we are starting a new antibiotic today.  We will have a recheck in two weeks!}

What are you eating?

You are drinking four bottles a day – three 6oz bottles every four hours and then one 8 ounce bottle before bed.   After about ten days of eating foods with dairy in them (baby Yogurt melts, mac n’ cheese, etc), you started spitting up – a lot.  So, on Easter we cut all dairy out again.  The spitting up has ceased.  You just aren’t ready for dairy.  You are picking up food and feeding yourself very well! 

When do you eat and sleep?

You wake up around 7:00am and go to bed around 9:30pm.  You take a morning nap, an afternoon nap, and an evening siesta.  Between bottles, you eat cereal or fruit for breakfast and a veggie or protein for dinner.

What size  clothes and diapers are you wearing?

You wear size 2 diapers.  We bought you some two piece big girl pajamas that are size 9m (big in the waist, but perfect length.)  Your summer shorts are 6m.

What are some things you love?

You love crawling around.  You love yelling.  You love your Momma and Daddy.

What are some things you don’t love?

You are not a fan of being strapped in your carseat or swing.  You don’t like when Momma or Daddy leave the room.  You definitely do not like ear infections!

What can you do?

You started crawling on Easter and now you can crawl very fast!  You started pulling up on people a week later.  On May 8^th, you started pulling up on toys.  You can hold your bottle and feed yourself finger foods.  You can give “loves” and kisses.

What are we looking forward to in the next month?

Before you turn TEN months, you will:

*Go on your first family vacation to Branson.

*Shop until you drop on said vacation.

*Cheer Momma on as she runs her first 5K

*Say "Momma" and "Daddy"
